{"id":6714,"date":"2026-05-28T11:39:21","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T09:39:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kilok.art\/?p=6714"},"modified":"2026-05-28T14:05:56","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T12:05:56","slug":"evolyucziya-ukrayinskogo-vijskovogo-odnostroyu-1914-1920","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kilok.art\/en\/evolyucziya-ukrayinskogo-vijskovogo-odnostroyu-1914-1920\/","title":{"rendered":"Evolution of Ukrainian Military Uniforms, 1914\u20131920"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have prepared a new video \u2014 a cinematic visual timeline of Ukrainian military uniforms from the era of the First Liberation Struggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video shows how the appearance of the Ukrainian soldier changed between 1914 and 1920: from the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen in the Austro-Hungarian Army and Ukrainianized units of the former Russian army to the formations of the Ukrainian People\u2019s Army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video features, among others, the Ukrainian Sich Rifleman, a sailor of the battleship \"Volya\", the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Regiment, the Kost Hordienko Regiment, the Bluecoats, the Galician Army, the Black Zaporozhians, the Hutsul Marine Infantry Regiment, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video was created by kilok.art, based on the poster series<a href=\"https:\/\/kilok.art\/films\/ukrainian-revolution-film\/military-units-of-the-ukrainian-war-of-independence\/\">\"Military units of the Ukrainian War for Independence\"<\/a>presented on December 24, 2014, at the Ye bookstore on Lysenko Street.
